Workspace Status
Inspect agent and compute state without waking a suspended VM.
CLI lobby workspace status --conversation ID
Run outside Lobby after lobby login. Discover an authorized ID with
lobby conversations list. The read checks account membership, conversation
visibility and repository access before inspecting compute. It never launches,
resumes or replaces a VM and does not send requests to the runner.

| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
agentState |
Persisted conversation state, such as queued, running, idle, or failed; it is not VM health. |
compute.state |
starting, running, suspended, or stopped in the authorized workspace connection’s observation. |
compute.reason |
Present for stopped connections, for example expiry or a missing attachment. |
runnerHealth |
Always not_probed: a running provider VM does not prove the runner or application is healthy. |
observedAt |
Response timestamp; persisted agent state and provider state are not an atomic snapshot. |
suspended covers both suspending and suspended provider states. stopped can
mean the current authorized attachment is unavailable, expired, or transitioning;
it does not prove the underlying VM was terminated. starting can also reflect
a transient provider failure or missing endpoint. Inspection errors produce an
error, not a fabricated healthy or stopped result.
Local MCP exposes the same result as get_workspace_status when started with
--conversation ID. Tool arguments cannot override that configured scope.
No runner URL, compute identifier, capability, proxy token or provider credential
is returned. This supported CLI/MCP operation uses an internal product route;
Lobby does not yet promise a public REST contract or customer API-key access.
